Migratory Birds Grant

Ohio Wildlife Center has been awarded a $6,950 grant from the Kenneth A. Scott Charitable Trust to raise local awareness of migratory birds traveling through Ohio with an education campaign.

“The project will help educate Ohioans on ways to protect and prevent unnecessary harm from common human-induced hazards such vehicular and window strikes,”  according to Stormy Gibson of Ohio Wildlife Center.

“Migratory birds help connect people with nature and they allow for individuals to gain greater awareness of the need to minimize negative impact on wildlife,” Ms. Gibson said.

The Kenneth A. Scott Charitable Trust is a foundation focused on preventing cruelty to animals and promoting the humane treatment of animals. The foundation also supports efforts to protect the well-being of urban-suburban wildlife.
