Youth & Senior Volunteer Projects

Build Skills & Connect With Community

Due to the nature of our work, Ohio Wildlife Center cannot offer student shadowing experiences or onsite service hours with our patients or resident animals. However – high school students, scouts and even adults seeking service projects are instead encouraged to pursue one of a number of craft/construction or community outreach projects to help us gather all the resources we need to best care for wildlife in need! Check out just a few of our most in-demand projects below or contact us with your own ideas!

Building & Craft Projects

Create Enrichment & Shelter for Animals in Need

With thousands of patients cared for each year, we are always in need of additional supplies to furnish enclosures and help release animals safely back into the wild. From woodcrafts to sewing, there’s a craft project for any interest. Check out our library of instructional sheets below. Completed materials can be delivered to our Wildlife Hospital, 2661 Billingsley Rd, Columbus, OH 43235 any day between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

Community Outreach Projects

Connect With Others Through Service

Another great way to support our patients remotely is by helping others learn about what we do! Ideas for connecting others to our mission include promoting our Amazon Wishlist (see below), or asking others to donate to Ohio Wildlife Center. You could even chose a time period to share all of our social media posts for, showing your friends and family some of the moving stories taking place at the Center every day!
