It’s Baby Season!

Ohio Wildlife Center’s Hospital receives nearly 5,000 injured, orphaned or sick wild animals each year!  The majority of our orphans are admitted April through July.  You can help care for this influx of baby wild animals by making a donation from our “Baby Registry.”

 

Baby Season Wish List:

  • Rice bags (or just rice) – Used to warm-up cold baby animals
  • Heating pads WITHOUT auto-shut off – Usually available at Giant Eagle and online
  • Distilled water – Used for making baby formula
  • Plastic Critter Keepers – For safe transport of small mammals
  • Timothy hay – Used for herbivore food and small mammal bedding
  • Pet nail PAWlish – URGENTLY needed in various colors
  • Colored copy paper – Dark green and dark pink.
  • NUTS!! – Unsalted, shelled peanuts (or, tree nuts from your yard!)
  • Freshly picked dandelions, clover, chickweed and grass that DOES NOT have pesticides. – We would like our baby bunnies to have a supply of freshly picked items that they would find outside.

Donations are accepted at Ohio Wildlife Center’s Hospital Monday – Friday 9a.m.-6p.m. & Saturday – Sunday 9a.m.-3p.m.
