These animals are the most popular animals brought in to our wildlife hospital each year.  In 2013, OWC admitted 4,790 injured, orphaned and ill animals for treatment.  
  • Top mammal admissions: 1,146 Eastern Cottontail Rabbits, 504 Eastern Gray Squirrel, 359 Virginia Opossum
  • Top avian admissions: 260 Mallard, 339 American Robin, 198 House Sparrow
  • 74 Reptiles, encompassing 13 different species
  • 9 Amphibians, from 4 different species
