These animals are the most popular animals brought in to our wildlife hospital each year.  In 2012, OWC admitted 4,488 injured, orphaned and ill animals for treatment.  
  • Top mammal admissions: 931 Eastern Cottontail Rabbit, 477 Eastern Gray Squirrel, 375 Virginia Opossum
  • Top avian admissions: 287 Mallard, 262 American Robin, 233 House Sparrow
  • 69 Reptiles, encompassing 11 different species
  • 6 Amphibians, from 3 different species
