Ohio Wildlife Center (OWC) is seeking a part-time intern to assist with communications and fundraising tasks in its development department.
Candidate must have excellent computer and writing skills, and should be familiar with media relations and promoting organizations and their events. He/she should also be comfortable around animals and knowledgeable (or willing to learn) about native
Some Required Tasks May Include (but are not limited to):
- Writing newsletter articles & participating in newsletter design
- Creating mailing lists and direct mail appeal letters
- Promoting events through web site postings, fliers, media relations, and material creation and distribution
- Web site maintenance
- Data entry and management
- Projects as assigned or desired
This is an excellent opportunity for students looking for valuable experience or school credit, or as an activity for someone who is retired from a communications career and looking for a meaningful way to contribute to the community.
